Hello everyone, this bolg is about the UDOO x86
unboxing and how to install Ubuntu
After 5 Months delay, I received email from UPS said my UDOO board will be arrived at 4.21, and I was so excited :)
Maybe almost of you will like me, lol
After received the package from UPS, I took some pictures as unboxing
My ordered board is Advanced Plus
which has the 32G EMMC storage on board.
And today I will intall the Ubuntu 16.04 LTS on the board in EMMC,which the way I usually used.
If I do some wrong, please let me know.
The front of the box is very simple.
and bottom
the package way used in here also very simple.
Because of the Stretch Goal, I received the Light Brick
together.
Let’s look the port of the board
the SATA port and SATA power port
above view and bottom view, you will see the tesetd mark at the bottom
I had a plan build a laptop with this board, so I care the thickness of the board
After plug the power the board will boot to this view, if don’t press Esc
to enter the BIOS
Let’s plug the Ubuntu USB image and do again
We need to install on a new partition, like bellow
After finished the board reboot to ubuntu
I also took a booting video on Youtube, and it’s almost took for 20sec, actually not bad.
Because my SATA Power cable doesn’t match with the board, I will change my cable and reinstall the OS on my SSD.
I prepared an Intel Dual Band AC 7260NGW
wifi card.
Which has both wifi(2.4G & 5G) and bluetooth.
And connected to board with two antennas.
It’s works on two band and bluetooth also.
I don’t know how to show it with you.
I just capture a pic.
I bought wifi card from other supply, so it come without stand for UDOO board.
I did wifi test when I press the card…
I made a screw stand.
Here are some other idea on the UDOO forum, also the 42 to 60mm M.2 SSD extension bracket.
